Aamir exits Ashneer biopic
India, July 23 -- Actor Aamir Khan has reportedly exited a proposed biopic on entrepreneur and former Shark Tank India judge Ashneer Grover following creative differences with debutant director Rahul Mody.
Grover, the co-founder and former managing director of BharatPe, became a pop-culture figure with his blunt takes and "doglapan" catchphrase on show. His controversial exit from the fintech firm later kept him in the headlines.
"Aamir is fascinated by the world of start-ups, and was keen to get into the zone with the Ashneer Grover biopic. He sat on the script and developed it to the best of his sensibilities. But eventually, he ended up having creative differences with Rahul Mody, leading to the duo parting ways," a source told Bollywood Hungama.
Reports had claimed that Aamir would play Grover, while Shraddha Kapoor would portray his wife, Madhuri Jain Grover, a former fintech executive who recently appeared on Lock Upp: Season 2 and courted controversy over remarks on poverty and family size.
The film was expected to go on floors in March 2027. Mody and Shraddha are now reportedly looking for a younger actor to play Grover. "The conversations are on with two-three top names, and the cast is expected to be locked soon," the source added.
Neither the film nor Aamir's involvement was officially announced. His team did not respond till the time of going to press.htc...
