A toast to the New Year
India, Sept. 10 -- The Capital came alive with warmth and high energy as the Embassy of Israel hosted an evening marking Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, on September 7. Diplomats, friends and community members gathered for an evening that smoothly moved from heartfelt speeches to a packed dance floor.
Welcoming guests, Israeli Ambassador to India Reuven Azar spoke about the festival's spirit of reflection and renewal. "In the Jewish tradition, we take the last part of the Jewish calendar to reflect on what we've been doing. and try to prepare us for next year," he said.
After the speeches, the evening shifted into full party mode, with guests catching up and taking to the dance floor. From Bon Jovi's It's My Life to the Bollywood favourite Senorita, the music kept the celebratory mood going....
