'The global rise of K-pop is driven by how we communicate with our fans'
India, July 22 -- Y
EONJUN, the first member of K-pop boy band TOMORROW x TOGETHER (TXT) to venture solo, is riding high on the success of his recently-released second mini album, No Labels: Part 02.
As K-pop has evolved into a multibillion-dollar global phenomenon, YEONJUN believes its worldwide appeal lies in the connection artistes share with their fans. "I think it's driven by how we can always communicate with our fans wherever we are, no matter what language we speak. Whenever I miss MOA (the official name of TXT's fandom), I can just start a live stream or send them messages to share a part of my day," he shares.
One of the first members of the quintet TXT to pursue a solo career alongside group activities, YEONJUN says authenticity has been at the heart of his journey. "For this album, I tried to show a more natural side of myself, whether through the visuals or performance," he says.
Across the album's six tracks, the 26-year-old contributed to the songwriting, composition and choreography. He tells us, "I wanted to showcase myself as someone who's still figuring things out as an artiste. I stayed actively involved and tried a lot of new things across the tracks."
With India fast becoming a key stop for K-pop acts, as more artistes headline concerts and festivals across the country, YEONJUN hopes to visit soon.
"I'd love to visit and meet fans in India if I get the chance. Whether as a solo artist or with the group, I hope I can connect with fans in more places moving forward," he ends....
