India, July 25 -- Speaking at the Ramayana panel at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) 2026 in San Diego on Thursday, actor Ranbir Kapoor said the mythological epic will be a special family memory as it will be three-year-old daughter Raha Kapoor's first film in a theatre. "It's going to be her first film on the big screen. I'm very excited," he shared. Ranbir, who plays Lord Ram in director Nitesh Tiwari's adaptation, also opened up about the pressure of taking on one of Indian mythology's most revered characters. "There was so much fear, so much doubt. 'Will I be able to do this? Am I capable enough?'" he recalled, adding that those doubts soon turned into "gratitude", calling the film "an opportunity of a lifetime" and "a moral responsibility". "The Ramayana is ingrained in our subconscious. Lord Rama is the conscience keeper of millions of people around the world for generations. He embodies the triumph of the human spirit in times of adversity and stands for courage, compassion, forgiveness and righteousness," Ranbir said. He added that he soon realised what it would take to do justice to the role. "Very early on, I understood that it just requires a lot of faith, a lot of belief, a lot of truthfulness and noble intentions.
