India, Aug. 21 -- After making tall claims of her taxes paying the Indian Army's salary, a claim that made her go viral for all the wrong reasons, the woman from the video that has surfaced from Ladakh has now apologised. "Sabse pehle toh Jai Hind. Main apne jawaan bhaiyon ko, jo hamare bhai baap sab kuchh hain, jinki vajah se hum safely ghar mein sote hain, subaah uth paate hain... they protect our borders. Hum jaise badtameez log frustration mein aake kuchh bhi bol dete hain. For that, I apologise to the entire Indian Army and even our Gen Z," she told NDTV on Thursday. However the damage was already done. The yet-unidentified woman was stopped enroute on July 25 at the Minimarg checkpoint along the Zojila-Gumri route with other tourists due to travel restrictions. She then ranted: "We're Gen Zs; we will not tolerate this nonsense... Kashmiriyon ke saath toh karte hi hain, ab baahar ke tourists ke saath bhi karte hain... hamare tax se sabko salary jaati hai, yeh log humse upar ho gaye ab?" Her comments received backlash, with an X user saying , "These guys are destroying the Gen Z name".
