India, April 1 -- As the success of Dhurandhar The Revenge (2026) continues to dominate conversations, actor Udaybir Sandhu's portrayal of the character Pinda in the film and his now-iconic dialogue, 'Ghar ki yaad nahi aayi tujhe Jassi' has taken a life of its own, flooding social media with countless memes and reels. Udaybir tells us, "It feels really nice, a bit overwhelming because while shooting, we didn't think this scene would go so viral. Yes, it was a very impactful scene, but we didn't expect this kind of response," adding that the appreciation coming his way has been deeply satisfying. The 27-year-old, who has previously seen in Amar Singh Chamkila (2024) and Gold (2018) auditioned for this role. While the film was undoubtedly massive in scale, he says the atmosphere on set was relaxed, "Every person on the set was so invested, nobody was rushing into things, people were calm and composed. We were just working in the moment and giving our best." What continues to intrigue people is the whispers that originally, Dhurandhar (2025) and Dhurandhar The Revenge were supposed to be one long film, but were divided into two films at the last minute in 2025. Confirming this, the actor says, "I don't think even Aditya (Dhar, director) knew about it; he had planned to make one film. But when he combined all of the footage he had shot, it was more than 10 hours, I think around 13-14 hours. Everything was so good, one couldn't just skip such stuff, you know, so he was like, yes, we'll have to make it in two parts." Udaybir was informed just a week before Dhurandhar's release that his character would not feature in the first part. Following the love and appreciation, the actor emphasises keeping his feet on the ground. "It's been 10 years, my friends, family know about the struggle and the time it took me to reach here. I did get a lot of calls in the last few days for work, but I want to stay calm and composed. If you get carried away, it could actually ruin your career," he signs off....
