Woman robbed of gold locket
Panchkula, Aug. 10 -- A 35-year-old widow was allegedly robbed of a gold locket by two motorcycle-borne men in Budhanpur, Panchkula, on Saturday evening.
According to the FIR registered at Sector 14 police station, the complainant, Mira Kunwar, was returning home on foot after meeting her sister in Indira Colony around 5.15 pm when the accused approached her on a motorcycle near the tubewell in Budhanpur. The pillion rider allegedly snatched the gold locket weighing around 2 gm from her neck before fleeing towards Indira Colony.
The complainant told police that the rider was wearing a black helmet and a black T-shirt, while the pillion rider was not wearing a helmet and had a white T-shirt. She said she could identify the suspects if brought before her. Police registered an FIR under Section 304 (snatching) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and initiated an investigation....
