Mohali, Oct. 25 -- A 19-year-old woman was killed and an 18-year-old woman injured after their Activa scooter was hit by a truck near Omaxe Chowk on the PR-7 and PR-4 roads in New Chandigarh, police said. The intersection has witnessed several road accidents over the years, according to locals, who refer to it as the "killer crossing". The deceased, Suman, was a resident of Salamatpur village in New Chandigarh. The injured, Amanpreet Kaur, belongs to Rasulpur village in the area, assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Balraj Singh said.
