Ludhiana, Aug. 26 -- A 26-year-old woman jumped into the Sidhwan Canal with her two children near Dugri on Tuesday. While the woman and her three-year-old son were rescued and admitted to the hospital, the body of her five-year-old daughter was later recovered by divers. The boy's condition was reported to be critical. According to the woman's kin, she had been living separately from her husband, who was allegedly a drug addict, for the past nine months. On Tuesday, she came to Dugri to see a doctor for her ailing son and also called her husband. The couple allegedly argued after which the woman jumped into the canal with her two children.
