Rohtak, Aug. 27 -- A young woman was found dead under suspicious circumstances in a hotel room in Rohtak on Wednesday, police said. According to an official privy to the matter, the woman had checked into the hotel in the morning with a young man. The man reportedly left the hotel around noon, telling the staff that he would return shortly. When there was no response from the room later, hotel staff became suspicious. They knocked on the door but received no response and subsequently informed the police. "We reached the hotel after receiving the information and found the woman dead. A dupatta was found wrapped around her neck. An investigation has been launched to ascertain the circumstances surrounding her death," a police official said. Police sent the body to the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS), Rohtak, for a post-mortem examination to establish the exact cause of death.
