Karnal, June 4 -- : Kurukshetra deputy commissioner Vishram Kumar Meena on Wednesday said that an inspector of the food and supplies department has been suspended based on a report submitted by the committee constituted to investigate the incident involving the spraying of water on wheat stock. He said that Anshaj Singh, director general of the department of food, civil supplies, and consumer affairs, has suspended inspector Ankur Jangra with immediate effect, pending departmental proceedings against him. Meena said that an incident involving the spraying of water on wheat stock had come to the notice of the administration, following which an inquiry committee was formed on May 22 under the chair of sub-divisional officer (civil), Shahabad. The inquiry committee's investigation revealed negligence on the part of inspector Jangra, and the report regarding this finding has been forwarded to the department concerned....
