Ludhiana, July 11 -- A patwari has been arrested for accepting Rs.3,500 as bribe to process a property mutation, the Punjab Vigilance Bureau said on Friday. Accused Gurjit Singh, was posted at Revenue Estate Dhol Khurd in Ludhiana district under the sub-registrar, Malaud. "The complainant approached the patwari to get a 3-biswa plot, registered in his late mother's name, mutated in the names of the legal heirs for which the accused demanded bribe," the VB stated.
