Chandigarh, Aug. 30 -- A final-year LLB student of the University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS), Panjab University, allegedly died by suicide in Boys' Hostel No 4 on Saturday. The deceased, aged 22, was a native of Panipat. According to the police, his friends got worried after he did not respond to their calls since Saturday morning. In the evening, they allegedly broke open the door of his hostel room and found him hanging. He was immediately rushed to the Post Graduate Institute Medical Education and Research, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. Sector 11 station house officer Jaspal Singh Bhullar said that no foul play had come to light so far. And no suicide note was recovered from the spot.
