India, Nov. 3 -- Television actor Anuj Thakur, known for shows such as Bandhan Saat Janmon Ka and Beend Banoonga Ghodi Chadhunga, died on October 27 at 33 after suffering a seizure in his sleep. The news was confirmed by his friend and casting manager, Rupesh Sonar, who had been trying to get in touch with Anuj, but his calls went unanswered. He eventually reached out to Anuj's mother, only to learn of his death, on Friday. "I was shocked because we had just planned to meet this week," he says. Rupesh, who shared a close bond with Anuj, visited his family after his demise. "I was unable to process it, so I went to meet his mother and brother. They were totally broken. What really haunts me is that his vacation to New York next month with his family was all set. Tickets and visas were done. Samay ka koi bharosa nahin, haansta khelta insaan ek pal mein chala gaya." Anuj's family grew concerned when he did not wake up. "On Tuesday, when he didn't get up, his house bell rang constantly, so his mom went to check on him in his room. But it was too late; he had passed away. They called a doctor and an ambulance, but it was in vain. It's heartbreaking that we lost him so suddenly." Anuj was also looking forward to returning to TV after focusing on his property business. "He was so eager to get back on screen; we were discussing roles. He didn't want to jump at just any role. He wanted to do a significant part rather than minor roles," Rupesh adds. All India Cine Workers Association president Suresh Shyamlal Gupta also mourned his death: "He has left us far too soon. This was not an age to go. The news has left the entire film and TV industry in shock."...
