Mohali, Aug. 30 -- A four-year-old boy died after a tractor ran over him in Badmajra, Balongi, on Saturday morning. The incident took place around 9.30 am when the boy had gone out to play. According to the family, the child was playing outside the house when the mishap took place. Doctors at Civil hospital, Phase 6, said the child hadsuffered fatal injured and was dead by the time he was brought to the hospital. They said only his legs were properly visible due to the severity of the injuries. The tractor driver allegedly tried to flee after the incident, but villagers caught him and handed him over to the police. Police arrested the accused, and he has been identified as Bhura Singh. The boy was one of the five siblings. Police sent the body for postmortem examination. The tractor has also been taken into custody as part of the investigation.
