Three held for robbing delivery boy in Mouli Jagran
Chandigarh, June 4 -- Three accused have been arrested for robbing a delivery boy of Rs.3,200 at knifepoint on Monday, police said on Wednesday.
Police said complainant Jitender Singh of Vikash Nagar, Mouli Jagran worked as a delivery boy. On June 1 at 4.15 pm, he reached near Ravidas Temple Hallomajra to delivery a parcel on his Activa. When he reached near Guru Ravidas Gurudwara Sahab, he was intercepted by three unknown persons who reached there by their Activa.
The complainant said that two of the accused approached him. One of the suspects pulled a knife from his pocket while the second grabbed the complainant's hands. The suspect with the knife then forcibly robbed his wallet. Afterward, all three suspects fled on the Activa, taking his purse, which contained Rs.3,200, an Aadhaar card, and a PAN card.
The arrested accused have been identified as Vishal alias Ajay, 28, of Phase 1, Ramdarbar; Vinit alias Binni, 28, of Sector 25; and Abhi alias Lala, 25, of Ram Darbar, Phase 1. The police recovered an Aadhaar card, the Activa used in the crime, and the victim's purse from them....
