Rohtak, April 13 -- A 23-year-old nursing student from Sonepat was allegedly murdered by her father with a sharp-edged weapon after a heated argument on Sunday, police said. The deceased has been identified as Chinu, 23, they said, adding that she was pursuing a diploma in general nursing and midwifery (GNM). The accused, identified as Anil, is a transporter. They are from Sonepat's Gohana, the police added. Giving information, Gohana deputy commissioner of police (DCP) Jitender Gahlawat said they arrested the accused from the spot. "We have arrested the woman's father, Anil, from the spot. He killed his daughter with a sharp-edged weapon after a heated argument on Sunday.
