Rohtak, April 1 -- A retired Delhi Police head constable was allegedly shot at by his son on Tuesday over a property dispute at Dhakla village in Jhajjar, police officials said. The police identified the accused as Satish Kumar, a clerk in the Haryana government. Police said Kumar shot at his father Ishwar Singh, once each at the shoulder and thigh over a property worth Rs.18 crore. The injured was rushed to Jhajjar civil hospital from where he was referred to Post-graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS) in Rohtak. His condition is said to be out of danger. A spokesman of Jhajjar police said that Ishwar Singh had shifted to Najafgarh in Delhi nearly 30 years ago and his brother is living in Dhakla village. "Ishwar Singh said his son Satish fired shots at him after being provoked by his uncle over a property dispute estimated to be worth Rs.18 crore. The retired cop is undergoing treatment at PGIMS and an investigation has been started into the matter," the spokesman added.
