India, June 12 -- Many travellers often notice their skin feeling dull, dehydrated and unusually tired after a flight, which is mostly dismissed as simple post-flight fatigue. However, dermatologists say there may be more to it, commonly referred to as 'airport skin'.
This term, popularised by dermatologists, beauty influencers and travel writers, is used to describe the visible effects of air travel on the skin. While not a formal medical or scientific diagnosis, it refers to a cluster of symptoms that can leave the skin feeling dry, tight, rough, uncomfortable and, at times, even scratchy.
