Dharamshala, June 18 -- Two persons were killed after the vehicle they were travelling in veered off the road and plunged onto another stretch downhill near Chhatri Mod in Himachal's Chamba district on Wednesday, officials said. The mishap occurred on Chamba-Pathankot highway at 2.30 am. Victims Lakhankant (29) and Ankush Kumar (31), residents of Saru village on the outskirts of Chamba, died on the spot. According to reports, tthe deceased had left home in the early hours as they had to reach Kangra to appear in an examination when the mishap occurred. A police team reached the spot after receiving information. Police officials said an FIR has been registered and the investigation is underway to ascertain what triggered the mishap....
