Mohali, March 26 -- A gunman employed by Shiv Sena leader Nishant Sharma allegedly shot himself in Kharar's Gulmohar Society on Wednesday. The injured man was immediately rushed to the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, where he remains under medical observation. According to officials, the gunman sustained a self-inflicted bullet injury under circumstances that remain unclear. Police reached the spot after receiving information from residents. Kharar DSP Karan Sandhu said reason behind the act had yet to be established and investigaton was underway. He added that the man was said to be involved in some case and police were verifying the facts.
