Chandigarh, June 24 -- Light rain and thunderstorms are likely in the city from Wednesday to Friday due to an active western disturbance, India Meteorological Department officials said. On Tuesday, the city's maximum temperature went up four notches and settled at 39degC, 1.5 degrees above normal, from 35degC a day before. The minimum temperature dipped marginally from 22.4degC on Monday to 22.2degC on Tuesday, remaining 5.4 degrees below normal. Over the next three days, the maximum temperature will hover between 38degC and 39degC while the minimum is expected to remain between 25degC and 26degC, Met officials said....
