Chandigarh, Oct. 30 -- The Punjab finance department has sought details from all administrative departments regarding the financial implications involved in implementing the court orders in the pending dearness allowance (DA) case. A communication sent on Thursday to all special chief secretaries, additional chief secretaries and administrative secretaries directed them to send complete details of the financial implications of implementing the orders passed by the high court in Civil Writ Petition No. 7291 of 2026, titled Nirmal Singh Dhanoa & Others vs. State of Punjab & Others and other connected matters. It said the details were being sought to assess the overall financial implications and make appropriate budgetary provisions for effective implementation of the court's orders.
