Police yet to zero in on attackers
Bathinda, March 4 -- Four days after a property dealer and his gardener were found murdered at a farm on the outskirts of Sardulgarh town in Mansa district, the police are yet to make any headway in the case.
Mansa senior superintendent of police (SSP) Bhagirath Singh Meena said on Tuesday that the duo was fatally attacked with sharp-edged weapons.
"Initially, it was suspected that both were shot dead. But an autopsy at the Mansa district hospital confirmed that they were attacked with some sharp weapons. No firearm was used in the crime," he added.
The bodies of Jasvir Kumar Kaka, 48, and his gardener, Baldev Singh, 45, were found at the farm on Sheller Road in Sardulgarh town on February 27.
Police authorities said the victims received injuries in the neck and head. Investigators said that teams have been formed, but they have yet to zero in on the attackers. They said the motive for the crime is still unclear.
"Our investigation has not suggested the involvement of any organised group of criminals in the double murder. The aggrieved families have not raised suspicion against anyone. Our teams are probing the crime from all angles," added the SSP....
