Panchkula, April 1 -- Two youths, aged 20 and 19, were taken on one-day police remand on Tuesday in connection with the murder of a 25-year-old man from Baltana. The accused, Shivam, 20 and Rahul, 19, allegedly killed the victim with an axe (gandasi) in broad daylight on Monday while he was on his way to drop his mother at a factory in Industrial Area, Phase 1, Panchkula. According to police, the deceased had married the sister of the main accused Shivam three months ago against the family's wishes. Upset over the marriage, Shivam allegedly conspired with his friend Rahul to kill his brother-in-law.
