Rohtak, July 8 -- The Haryana state vigilance and anti-corruption bureau (SV&ACB) on Tuesday arrested a naib tehsildar for allegedly accepting a Rs.2 lakh bribe in Jhajjar district. The arrested officer has been identified as Balwan Singh, posted as naib tehsildar in Jhajjar. According to the ACB officials, they had received a complaint from a person requesting anonymity that the naib tehsildar was demanding Rs.2.50 lakh bribe for correction in a revenue record of his land. Acting on the complaint, the bureau laid a trap and arrested the accused while taking the Rs.2 lakh bribe money. He has been booked under the Prevention of Corruption Act, the officials said. htc...
