Chandigarh, Sept. 22 -- The municipal corporation (MC) completed its part of the restoration work related to the storm water drainage (SWD) pipeline near Madhya Marg, Sector 28-B, following road damage caused by heavy rainfall. Following the completion of the pipeline work, the excavated portion was filled with suitable material in layers, properly watered and compacted to ensure stability and proper settlement. The site was thereafter levelled and made ready for the next stage of restoration. With the MC having completed its part, the site has now been handed over to the engineering department of the UT administration, for taking up the further restoration of the affected road portion. The coordinated handover of the site will help the UT engineering department begin the necessary road restoration work at the earliest, ensuring safe and convenient movement for residents and commuters.
