Chandigarh, June 13 -- Punjab local government minister Harjot Singh Bains on Friday announced a series of development projects for the civic bodies of Kharar, Derabassi, Zirakpur, Nayagaon, Banur, Kurali and Gharuan to strengthen urban infrastructure and improve civic amenities. Reviewing the progress of ongoing works with executive officers here at Municipal Bhawan, Bains directed officials to ensure strict adherence to timelines and ordered weekly reviews of allprojects. He said that more than 250 km of roads are under construction across the seven towns and that several major road corridors will also be beautified as part of the infrastructure upgradation drive.
