Chandigarh, July 8 -- Strengthening transparency and efficiency in the city's paid parking system, the Chandigarh municipal corporation (MC) joint commissioner accompanied by the sub-divisional engineer (SDE) (parking) and superintendent (parking), conducted a surprise inspection of the paid parking sites in Sector 22 and the parking area adjoining Kiran Cinema. Following the directions of MC commissioner Amit Kumar, the inspection team led by joint commissioner Inder Jeet, reviewed the deployment of parking attendants at entry and exit points, checked the functioning of point of sale (POS) machines, and verified the validation process for MC OnePass holders. The officials closely monitored whether parking passes were being authenticated through POS machines and whether proper parking slips were being issued to every user.
