India, March 15 -- Under the Swachh Survekshan 2025-26, and "Naari Se Swachhta" campaign, the municipal corporation (MC) Chandigarh organised a capacity building workshop along with a medical health check-up camp for women safaimitras. The initiative aimed at strengthening the role of women in sanitation, health awareness in cleanliness drives. Mayor Saurabh Joshi was the chief guest and spoke on the occasion, "Women are powerful agents of change and play a pivotal role in spreading awareness about cleanliness." Special commissioner Pardeep Kumar attended as the guest of honour and joint commissioner Dr Himanshu Gupta, and medical health officer Dr Inderdeep Kaur were also present.
