MEERUT, July 31 -- A 22-year-old man allegedly shot a 19-year-old woman in the forehead critically injuring her before killing himself on a road in the Meerut district on Wednesday, police said. The incident took place near Zonal Park in Defence Enclave Colony under Kankerkhera police station limits. The police identified the deceased as a resident of Shivlokpuri. The injured woman, a resident of the Kankerkhera area, sustained one bullet wound to the head and two to the abdomen, and is currently in critical condition at Subharti Hospital, police said.SP (City) Vinayak Gopal Bhonsle said CCTV footage showed the man and the woman arguing shortly before the incident.During the altercation, the man allegedly fired three shots at the woman with a pistol and then shot himself twice in the chest, dying on the spot, the officer added....
