Barnala, May 10 -- A Fazilka resident was caught with 1 kg heroin near Sandhu Kalan in Barnala, police said on Saturday. Tapa deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Jaskaran Singh said Manpreet Singh was arrested following a tip-off that he was in the area to sell the drug. Following the recovery of the contraband, the accused was booked under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
