Rohtak, Oct. 23 -- A live-in couple died after allegedly consuming a poisonous substance near the Balsamand branch canal near Azad Nagar in Hisar on Wednesday evening, police said. According to police, the 30-year-old deceased man was a resident of a Hisar village. The 32-year-old woman was a resident of Rohtak. The incident took place at 5.30pm, following which the two were rushed to a private hospital in a critical condition. After providing initial treatment, doctors referred them to the Civil Hospital in Hisar. The man died before reaching the hospital, while the woman, whose condition was critical, was referred to Agroha Medical College for further treatment. She died at around 10.30am on Thursday, police said. The police have initiated an investigation to ascertain the circumstances that led the couple to allegedly take the extreme step.htc...
