Mohali, May 18 -- A 36-year-old labourer died after a car allegedly hit his motorcycle from behind near Tripri village in Kharar, police said on Sunday. The accident took place at 6.50 pm on Friday when Vijay Kumar, a daily wage labourer, was heading toward his house on his motorcycle. His brother Vikramjit Singh told police that a white Maruti 800 car (PB10AV7207) hit Vijay from behind near Tripri village, resulting in his death. An FIR has been registered against the unidentified car driver under Sections 281 and 106(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at Kharar police station.
