India, Aug. 31 -- Two men allegedly attacked a 25-year-old jeweller and fled with Rs.50,000, police said. Complainant Sourav Verma of Kurali said his aquaintaince Harmanjit Singh and another man told him that their friend from Majri block was bringing gold ornaments that needed to be checked for purity. On July 30, they met in Kharar and Verma allowed both men to travel with him in his car. The duo allegedly directed him towards a deserted stretch, near Thaska village and attacked him with a dagger and iron rod. Police said duo then took away Rs.50,000 kept in the car. Police booked the duo under 115(2) voluntarily causing hurt,127(7) wrongful confinement for extortion, 304 snatching and 3(5) joint liability (common intention) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. htc...
