Khattar meets Vaishnaw, seeks expanded rail facilities for Karnal
Karnal, June 24 -- Union power minister and Karnal MP Manohar Lal Khattar met Union railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Tuesday and urged expanded passenger facilities at Karnal railway station.
Karnal MLA Jagmohan Anand said during the meeting at Khattar's Delhi residence, the expansion of passenger facilities at the station was discussed, which is expected to improve rail connectivity and provide more convenient and efficient services for commuters.
"I had earlier written to Khattar urging for additional train stoppages and the overall development. Khattar demanded the additional stoppages, installation of lifts for the convenience of senior citizens and differently-abled passengers, construction of an underpass, and the provision of other modern passenger amenities," the MLA said.
Anand said that following the meeting between the ministers in Delhi, railway officials also visited Karnal railway station.
"Now, I'm hopeful that these facilities will soon be available at our railway station," he added....
