Panchkula, June 30 -- A 33-year-old man has been arrested from Kalka for carrying an illegal country-made pistol and a live cartridge, police said on Monday. The accused, identified as Nikhil Chaurasia of Kalka, is already facing two cases related to assault. Assistant commissioner of police (crime) Arvind Kamboj said Chaurasia was caught on the road connecting Tipra bypass and Green Valley Ghatiwala. The Kalka police booked under Section 25(1B)(A) of the Arms Act. A court sent him to judicial custody. Further investigation is underway, officials added....
