Srinagar, Aug. 22 -- The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday arrested two persons and booked a notorious peddler under the PIT-NDPS Act in separate operations in Anantnag and Shopian. In Anantnag, police executed a warrant under the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PIT-NDPS) Act against Mohammad Ashraf Ganie of Waghama, Bijbehara. The accused was apprehended and lodged in Bhaderwah district jail. In a separate operation, a police party from Shopian police station, during routine naka checking at Deegam crossing, intercepted a suspicious person.
