Chandigarh, Aug. 13 -- Haryana's Jaibir Kang strengthened his position at the top of the leaderboard after producing a stunning six-under-par round in the second round of the IGU Northern India Junior Boys Championship being played at the Chandigarh Golf Club. The overnight leader, who had opened the tournament with a one-under-par round, carded a brilliant six-under effort on day two to take his overall score to seven-under-par after 36 holes, emerging as the clear frontrunner in the championship. In the Category B competition, Delhi's Chaitanya Pandey returned an impressive five-under-par round on the second day. His performance lifted him to an overall even-par score after two rounds, putting him in a strong position heading into the final stages of the tournament. Meanwhile, in Category C, Delhi's Shan Alvi continued his consistent run to emerge as the sole leader.
