Sunny says the move to Punjabi cinema was a calculated one. "When Thaapi came along, the click was instant. I really like writer-director Jagdeep Warring, so I said a yes in 10-15 minutes," he shares, adding that he has long wanted to break away from the romantic comedies done in Bollywood. "Light-fun films toh ho rahi thi. But I haven't attempted a sports drama yet, so here I am," he adds. With his Punjabi debut on the cards, Sunny says he will continue working in Bollywood. "I will work in both industries. Hindi films are where I started from, and I feel I have much to explore there as well," he says....
