Chandigarh, April 10 -- Haryana government has approved an expenditure of about Rs.1,028 crore for various projects of over 10 departments, including police. The decision was taken in a meeting of the High-Powered Purchase Committee held late Wednesday evening under the chairmanship of chief minister Nayab Singh Saini. Under infrastructure development, Rs.47.20 crore was sanctioned for the construction of a Home Guard and Civil Defence Training Centre in Hasanpur village of Karnal and Rs.17.75 crore was approved for a master water supply scheme in Faridabad. Under industrial and environmental improvements, Rs.123.40 crore was approved for the construction of a Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP) in Sector-29-II, Panipat, while Rs.51.90 crore was approved for establishing an Integrated Aqua Park Centre of Excellence for the development of saline-affected areas in Garwa village of Bhiwani, according to a statement....
