History-sheeter carrying Rs.5,000 bounty held for illegal arms trade
Panchkula, April 17 -- The Panchkula anti-narcotics cell arrested a Rs.5,000 reward-carrying history-sheeter from Dera Bassi bus stand. The accused identified as Aman alias Pakodi, is a resident of Indira Colony, Sector 17.
Police said the accused has around one dozen criminal cases registered against him. During investigation, it was revealed that the accused was actively involved in illegal arms trade and other criminal activities. In an earlier case registered under the Arms Act at Sector 14 police station, the police recovered a .315 bore country-made pistol from Krish, a resident of Rajiv Colony.
Further probe established that Aman supplied the illegal weapon. The accused has been sent to 14 days of judicial custody. Police said further investigation is underway and efforts are being made to arrest other members of the network.htc...
