Hisar agri varsity to scaleup supply of millet hybrids
ROHTAK, July 30 -- Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar, has signed an MoU with Chakra Seeds, an Andhra Pradesh-based seed company, for the production and marketing of its high-yielding hybrid pearl millet varieties, HHB-299 and HHB-67 Improved-2.
The agreement was signed by the HAU director of research, Rajbir Garg and Ganesh Kumar Reddy, proprietor of Chakra Seeds, in the presence of vice-chancellor BR Kamboj.
According to experts, HHB-299 offers higher grain yield than many existing hybrids and is resistant to downy mildew.HTC...
