Karnal, Aug. 12 -- The Hisar police registered an FIR against a serving tehsildar Vijay Singh, his two sons Azad Singh and Ajit Singh, and Ajit's wife, Jyoti, in a property fraud case worth Rs 5.35 crore. The complaint filed by Himanshu Mittal, a chartered accountant and resident of Hisar's Sector-15, alleged that the accused sold him two houses already committed to other buyers under a prior agreement. According to the complaint and subsequent investigation, the sequence of events began in May 2025. "Azad Singh, Ajit, Jyoti and their father Vijay (posted as tehsildar) approached Mittal with an offer to sell two residential houses - numbers 3162 and 3163 located in Sector-14, Part-2. They assured him that the properties were free of any legal disputes, except for an outstanding bank loan of around Rs 2 crore that needed to be cleared," the complaint said. HTC...
