Haryana govt releases Rs.32 cr to pvt schools for EWS, BPL student fees
Chandigarh, April 1 -- Haryana education minister Mahipal Dhanda on Tuesday announced that the state government has released approximately Rs.32 crore to reimburse the fees of students from economically weaker sections (EWS) and below poverty line (BPL) categories enrolled in private schools.
The grant covers schools across seven districts: Ambala, Gurugram, Fatehabad, Kaithal, Mahendragarh, Panchkula, and Rohtak. Dhanda said the move is part of the state's inclusive education policy, aimed at ensuring quality schooling for underprivileged students while providing timely financial support to private institutions.
