Chandigarh, May 29 -- In a philanthropic bid, Gurukul Global School management, in association with the Rotary Club, Chandigarh Midtown, provided a funeral van to the Chandigarh Red Cross Society. The newly procured funeral van was flagged off by Nishant Kumar Yadav, deputy commissioner-cum-chairman of Red Cross Society, Chandigarh and Neena Setya, president, Gurukul Global School, Chandigarh, at the premises of the deputy commissioner's office. The newly inducted funeral van is expected to strengthen the emergency response and supplement the humanitarian services. Speaking on the occasion, the deputy commissioner-cum-chairman, Red Cross, stated that the funeral van will remain at their service, especially in times of urgent need. He also appreciated the valuable role being played by the Red Cross Society in serving humanity and applauded the valuable support and long-standing association of Rotary Club, Chandigarh Midtown, with Chandigarh Red Cross....
