Mohali, Oct. 26 -- The Chandigarh-Sharjah direct flight service will resume on October 26 - after a gap of three years - under the winter schedule at Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport. The non-stop service will operate four days a week: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The flight will depart from Chandigarh at 1:50 pm and arrive in Sharjah at 4:50 pm. The return flight will leave Sharjah at 5.50 pm and reach Chandigarh at 11.05 pm. The one-way fare varies between Rs.13,000 to Rs.20,000. The winter schedule will remain in force until March 28, 2027. The airport currently handles 45 domestic and international flights, with 70 movements a day, including arrivals and departures. The resumption of the Sharjah service is part of a broader expansion of air connectivity from Chandigarh. New services to Goa, Bengaluru and Patna are also planned under the winter schedule, while flight frequencies on several existing routes are being increased....
