File crop loss info on portal by April 15
Karnal, April 11 -- Kurukshetra deputy commissioner Vishram Kumar Meena on Friday said that the government has sought applications from affected farmers to compensate them for the damage to wheat and other crops caused by recent rain and hailstorms.
The compensation portal (ekshatipurti) has been opened until April 15 for the villages of Bir Khairi, Bir Sonthi, Mathana, Sunthi, Lohara and Dab Kheda in the Ladwa assembly constituency.
On Thursday, vice president of the Haryana State Child Welfare Council and chief minister's wife Suman Saini visited the affected villages and inspected the fields to assess the damage. She also directed the opening of a compensation portal in the affected areas....
