Chandigarh, Sept. 26 -- Local farmers and landowners of the city will get a 50% concession in apni mandi/day market charges following the unanimous approval of an agenda moved by municipal councillor Satinder Singh Sidhu before the committee formed in this regard. The move aims to reduce the financial burden on local farmers and encourage them to sell their agricultural produce directly to consumers. Sidhu had sought a 50% concession in the charges for the apni mandi/day market for local farmers and landowners of Chandigarh.
