Chandigarh, June 9 -- Local government minister Harjot Singh Bains on Monday launched "Mission Clean Punjab", a technology-driven campaign that would put civic officials at all levels to field visits daily from 7 am to 8 am. Unveiling the drive here, Bains reviewed the first-day functioning through a video call with field officials. He shared that the initiative would be powered by an AI-integrated mobile application, surprise checks and weekly progress reports. "All officers will conduct mandatory field visits daily from 7 am to 8 am," announced the minister. Bains further informed that chief minister Bhagwant Mann would also monitor the drive. "Any officer can get a call from the chief minister at any time. I am at the head office today. Tomorrow I can be in Mohali, Amritsar, Bathinda, Fazilka or Jaito," he added....
